About Our Church
WE BELIEVE
-
The whole Bible is the inspired Word of God. The Bible is a collection of 66 books, written by more than 40 authors. It is the Book through which God has revealed His will to man, and in which mankind have set before them the ways of life and death.
-
That the prophecy of Daniel 9 gives us the exact time of the death of Christ (in the midst of the week. Christ was crucified and buried on the Wednesday. The duration given in Matthew 12:40 (Jonah, 3 days and 3 nights) and the time of His resurrection in Matthew 28:1 (at the end of the Holy Sabbath Day).
-
The Bible teaches the state of the dead for the believer is to be “asleep” awaiting the first resurrection at the return of Christ. The dead knows not anything. Those that do not die in Christ shall rise at the second resurrection to be judged for their own sins.
-
Christ makes us holy and righteous by virtue of His atonement for our sins and we become just as though we had never sinned. Justification before God can only be accomplished by and through faith in our Saviour’s redeeming love.
-
Sanctification is the state of being sanctified, set apart for holy purpose, an act which can only be done by God. Sanctification is a two-way street. It is true that God is the one who sanctifies, but we also have a part to play by allowing (and applying) His words to mold His ways in our lives.
-
Glorification of the believers at the first resurrection will happen in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and changed from mortal to immortality.
-
Baptism is by immersion. It is the symbol of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. History reveals that it was one of the rites of the Jewish religion. At the time of John the Baptist, proselytes from the Gentiles faith were baptized to become pure for the service of the Lord.
-
The Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 11 that we should keep the ordinances as he delivered them to us. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated once each year at the appointed time.
-
The Ten Commandments reveals the character of God; it reveals the distinction of being the only scripture written by God. The Law is eternal and is binding forever. The writing of it was so important that when Moses broke the first tables God wrote the Ten Commandments again.
-
The second coming of Christ was well established long before new testament times. Enoch, the seventh from Adam spoke about this – Jude 14. Jesus made references about His return, not only to His disciples but also to unbelievers. The Lord will descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God. The saints shall rise and those alive shall be caught up together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and forever be with Him. The saint shall all be changed, in a moment, at the last trump: the dead in Christ shall be raised incorruptible and put on immortality.

Daniel 2, explained the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar, referring to the stone which smote the image and became a great mountain filling the whole earth. Also, in Daniel 7, the Ancient of Days and the Saints would take over the Kingdoms of this world. Christ will set up his kingdom and reign for a thousand year on earth and satan will be bound during that time.
-
The Plan of salvation means we are delivered from death, the consequence of God’s judgment for sin. God has rescued us through his love by grace through the undeserved gift of God available only through faith in Jesus Christ.
